MOBILE DISPENSARIES AND THEIR OPERATION

Fauji Foundation’s main thrust remains towards rural areas because of obvious reason that most of the Beneficiaries population belongs to rural areas. It is because of this reason that concept of mobile clinics was evolved. The basic purpose / concept of these health clinics was to provide medical cover to remote areas which are quite away from Health Clinics, Medical Centres and Hospitals. All Hospitals and Medical Centres operate a total of 60 x Mobile Health Clinics. In total, 697 stations all over the country are covered by these Mobile Health Clinics. These Mobile Health Clinics operate 4 days a week upto a maximum of 120 kms in mountains and 175 kms in plains both ways from base Hospital and Medical Centre. A huge number of patients take advantage of this service and get treatment from these Mobile Health Clinics. Mobile Health Clinics have contributed a lot in provision of care at door steps of Beneficiaries in rural areas, especially in the prevailing economic crunch and increased transportation charges.
