FOUNDATION WIND ENERGY - I & II Limited

Fauji Foundation Group is the pioneer in wind energy in Pakistan by developing the amongst the first wind power projects. Foundation Wind Energy I & II Ltd are part of the Fauji Foundation Group’s endeavors to provide alternative energy in Pakistan.

 

Foundation Wind Energy-I Limited (FWEL-I) is located at Gharo, District Thatta, Sindh. Total installed capacity of the FWEL – I is 50 MW consisting of twenty 2.5 MW Nordex (Model N-100, Gama version) wind turbine generators. FWEL-I has a strong ownership profile with Fauji Group, through Fauji Foundation and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited, and IIF Wind One Limited (CapAsia – a Malaysian private equity firm) being the major sponsors of the company. The project was established under the Policy for Development of Renewable Energy for Power Generation, 2006 which offers a guaranteed internal rate of return, cost indexation and pass-through tariff structure.

 

Foundation Wind Energy-II Limited (FWEL-II) is located at Gharo, District Thatta, Sindh. Total installed capacity of the FWEL – I is 50 MW consisting of twenty 2.5 MW Nordex (Model N-100, Gama version) wind turbine generators. FWEL – II also has a strong ownership profile with Fauji Group, through Fauji Foundation and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited, holding major stake in the company.
